While the Carrington team was in the design lab dreaming up new ideas, the team @MBARQGO was in San Francisco at the GEEK Lounge Meetup.  While there, they landed an interview with Boyishtv.com.  One of the subjects was our collaboration on the new M-C iPad Case.  Thanks for the shout out fellas...some guys have all the fun!

iPhone 4S It Is!!

20111004-120517.jpg

We can finally breath and go back to work…wink. Apple unveiled their new iPhone today. Rumors have circulated for months on what the new iPhone would be called. Well, the iPhone 4S’s have it!

So here’s a few of the things we love:

New Duel Core A5 Processor: this puppy is going to be faster, much faster.
iOS 5: I’ve said it before, this is one of the best OS’s on the mobile market and its only getting better. Watch out for Notification Center, Newsstand, Twitter integration, and the new camera access button on the lock screen. There’s lots more under the hood–be excited, be very excited.

AirPlay Mirroring: This is going to be wicked. Through your AppleTV you can push your games, websites and apps to your TV. We’ve been waiting for this one–can you say Tiger Woods PGA Tour super-sized!

Siri Integration: Apple is taking voice command to the next level. It will learn your speech patterns and get better the more you use it.

There’s a lot more to love about the iPhone 4S. It’s going to be a faster more capable and powerful iPhone. Looks like we will just have to wait until next year for a bigger screen or a cool re-design.

Google +: New Kid on the Social Block.

Google + has finally arrived! I must admit, I had every intention of boycotting Google +. I’m not saying it had something to do with the fact that I didn’t get an invite to test, but, then again what’s up with that G+? My curiosity got the best of me today and I signed up. Instantly I was by the simplicity.

Are You Committed?

I just picked up the self titled @Committedsings album that dropped today.   The anticipation was killing me…so, as soon as I jumped in my ride I synced up my iPhone4 and turned it up.  If you’re an A cappella fanatic, like most of us here @PerspectiveBlog, then you know that we take our instrumentless music very seriously.  With greats like Take6, A Cappella and Bobby McFerrin, it’s not easy for a new group to get a foot hold.  In an age where harmony is usually suffocating by “beats”, Committed has taken the safe and creative route of covering great songs and exposing the crazy harmonies buried beneath.  Overall, Committed’s debut album is “ear crack” for those who’ve ever dreamed of their favorite modern songs covered by an A cappella group.  If they continue to step it up, we may consider listing them in the same sentence as the greats.

You can pick up the album on iTunes for $7.99

App of the Week: Voice Brief

If you are anything like me, life is like driving on the Autobahn; there’s only one speed limit, fast.  Voice Brief came up with a really great app that uses text to voice to read you the news, weather, emails, stock activity, Facebook updates, and more.  This app has one of the best text to voice engines out there.  I see great potential of this one.  It will cost you $1.99 in the App Store.

Militant Makeover

Beyonce and them said a long time ago that they needed soldiers, pull a few odds and ends together and give them what they want this season.

To pull of this look you can add to what you already have by throwing in various pieces like combat boots, a military inspired jacket or over coat, and different accessories. You can find these at highend end designer boutiques or your around the way surplus store. When you combine this with you regular wardrobe you can get some great pop. Remember less is more and always be original.
